Introduction
The NUS College in Stockholm was officially launched following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between NUS and its partner university, Royal Institute of Technology (Kungliga Tekniska högskolan, KTH) on May 17, 2005.
This is the first college to be established in Europe, and the fourth worldwide following the successes of colleges already established in Silicon Valley, Bio Valley ( Philadelphia ) and Shanghai .
The setting up of the NUS College in Stockholm marks a critical milestone as NUS celebrates its centennial beginning June 2005. In particular, it is a privilege to be partnering with KTH that has a deep history and commitment to education spanning 175 years.
NUS Overseas Colleges offers a rare opportunity for students to learn entrepreneurship by being immersed in Stockholm 's thriving entrepreneurial environnt. On the other hand, the internship host companies will enjoy the diversity and vibrancy that our interns add to their culture, perspectives and ideas.
Through the NUS Overseas Colleges program, it is envisioned that NUS' partnership with KTH and with the various organisations will open up a new source of opportunities and unlimited possibilities for all sides.
