Partnership Opportunities
We invite you to be part of this programme where you can add diversity of skills and perspectives to your talent base by taking on our students as interns at your organization. They come from a wide variety of disciplines and bring with them youthful energy and an alternative perspective. More importantly, they embody the “dare-to-do” spirit in stepping out of their comfort zones to immerse themselves in a new environment.
The internship duration range from 2.5 months (End May to End July) or 6 months (February to July or July to December)
To take part in the programme, simply complete and return the attached form to Mr Gay Peng Kee at nocgpk@nus.edu.sg
What the participating companies say
Students who went to India on the Experience India! 09 contributed to companies in various sectors ranging from biotech, life sciences, gaming, internet media, beauty & wellness and various non-for-profit organizations. They engage in various functions such as marketing, strategy, process development, market research, communications and entrepreneurship development. Companies have come to value their youthful energy, dedication, initiative, enthusiasm and creativity in meeting challenges.
Here’s what the Experience India! 09 companies have had to say about the students and the programme.
Sofia is an intelligent, capable, dedicated and personable young woman. She is always quick on her feet with sensible reactions in all the circumstances I've seen her in. She really proved that sincere hard work would give success by all means and completed the project on time without any delay. In the same way the quality of work done by her is an awesome example to showcase the quality of all other products from the Team. I feel confident in saying that she is capable of handling any situation with thoughtfulness and maturity.
- Cellworks Research
Cellworks is proud to be part of the Experience India! programme. Our company is at the leading edge of pharmaceutical innovation…We were fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Sofia, who did an outstanding job on our computational platform section. We hope to host more students from NUS in the years to come and also wish that this programme will open doors for NUS and Cellworks in possible scientific collaborations too.
- Cellworks Research
The program has already been designed in a very thoughtful manner. The preparation and orientation given to the students, the selection of the right candidates – highly entrepreneurial students who are open minded, willing to take risk and also learn in a new environment are major factors for the sucess of the program.
- National Entrepreneurship Network
For two interns who have just landed in another country, it was tough to initially understand the way things worked and they got a little frustrated and irritated about the way things were done(Or the amount of things which were not working the way they’d have thought – ‘it should’!). But they handled their frustration and irritation responsibly, making a contribution towards making the system better. One thing which can be definitely appreciated was the kind of openness they brought to the table – to learn and to adapt and teach others about how others could work better – in spite of the amount of cultural differences etc. - that was something special.
